Android 11 Beta for OnePlus 8/8 Pro is now available

OnePlus is releasing it's first Android 11 beta for OnePlus 8/8 Pro with the mixture of its OxygenOS for developers. This helps the company to find bugs/errors which are reported by developers and also helps to create a better version of android.

The company cautions that there's a risk of bricking the phone while flashing the build. OnePlus 8 devices from T-Mobile and Verizon are not compatible with this build and do not try to flash the build on other devices (OnePlus 6, 6T, 7, 7T, 7Pro, 7TPro).

Here is the list of known issues with Android 11 on the OnePlus 8 series:

  • All data will be cleared while flashing the build
  • Face unlock is unavailable
  • Google Assistant (“OK Google”) does not work
  • Video calling does not work
  • Certain UI screens look less than desirable
  • Some apps may not function as expected
  • System stability issues

Visit the OnePlus forum to download the Update or you can visit XDA if you wish to downgrade it back to Android 10. We suggest you wait till the next stable build is available.
