Motorola Edge+ getting display issues (spots, green tint & black/white screen)

Motorola recently comeback in the flagship series with the new Motorola Edge+ and it is a pretty awesome design that has a fluent curved display and a decent price range.

"Howdy! So I got the Edge Plus roughly 5 days ago from the time of this post and I just noticed that on the waterfall edges of the screen, there are a few noticable dark spots that look like darkened pixels in the OLED display. I have no damage to this phone, no drops or anything yet. What happened? Can I get rid of this on my own? I'm kinda pissed that this new device already has an issue like this."

"Mine is the same issue, but on both sides with predictable patterns. Charging the phone increases the spread, the longer the screen is on, etc. Keeping the screen off for a few hours (unplugged), the screen returns to normal.
My local Verizon reseller said "digitizer damage" and my best bet was to "live with it until its an issue". It's not the digitizer, I'm almost 100% sure. Full functionality on all parts of the screen.
Have pictures of the issue.
Edit: Purple hue over certain colored backgrounds.

The phone comes with a 6.7-inch OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, HDR 10+, 19:5:9 screen to body ratio, and corning gorilla glass 5. But after a few days of launch, it has started showing problems in the display like purple spots, green tint, and others.

However, the company respond to the affected user's complaint and advised user's the issue will be fixed through a software update which will take less than one month.
Motorola plans to rollout the update but it'll take more than two weeks as it needs to go through lab testing before distribution.
