Oppo F7 series gets a new stable ColorOS 7 update based on Android 10


Oppo has recently started rolling out a stable Android 10 update of ColorOS with the June 2020 security update for the Oppo F7 series with a new system-wide dark mode and more.

You can download the update via OTA or receive a prompt to download the update. An unlimited quota of users is set for this version India, Malaysia, Cambodia, Thailand, Pakistan, Philippines, Algeria, Myanmar, Indonesia, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, Egypt, Russia, United Arab Emirates, Kenya, Morocco, Kazakhstan are set for this version.

Oppo F7 Series ColorOS 7 features

  • System
    • Added the June 2020 Android security patch to enhance system security
    • Improved system stability.
    • Improved the recognition capabilities of fingerprint payment for payment apps.
    • Improved the stability of Assistive Ball.
  • Camera
    • Fixed camera function glitches and improved user experience.
    • Fixed a camera issue when LEHUA (Lock Screen Magazine is turned on.
  • Communications
    • Fixed an issue where the Wi-Fi icon would occasionally not be displayed in the status bar after Wi-Fi Assistant was turned off.
    • Improved hotspot stability and user experience.

To download the update head over to Settings -> Software Updates. The size of the update is 2.56GB and makes sure the phone is 60% if not connected to the charger and the device may heat up a little while during the upgrade.

The update consists of few bug fixes such as Wi-Fi icon not displaying in the status bar, improved hotspot stability, fixed camera glitches, improved assistive ball stability, and many more.
