New Update for Oppo Reno 2F with July 2020 security patch and more

Oppo has recently started rolling out a new stable update for Oppo Reno 2F with an optimized 07 camera filter for portrait mode with the latest July 2020 security patch. The update has also improved system stability and fixed some of the bugs.

The update is rolling out with a build number CPH1989EX_11_C.11 for Oppo Reno 2F on ColorOS 7 based on Android 10. The update started rolling out yesterday and will reach to end-users in a week.

  • System
    • Added the July 2020 Android security patch to enhance system security.
    • Improved system stability.
    • Added the “Rotate the guide bars with a screen” switch for “Swipe-up gestures”. When this switch is on and your screen is in landscape mode, you need to swipe inwards from the longer edge of the screen to exit the current screen. When this switch is off and your screen is in landscape mode, you need to swipe inwards from the shorter edge of the screen to exit the current screen. (This switch is on by default. You can turn it off by going to “Settings – Convenience tools Navigation buttons – Swipe-up gestures”.)
  • Camera
    • Optimized the 07 filter for portrait mode and improved the selfie shooting experience.
  • Communications
    • Fixed an issue with emergency calls.
    • Fixed an issue where phone calls would occasionally be dropped.
The update has also added a switch for Swipe-up gestures in the landscape mode. When the switch is ON and the screen is in landscape mode, you need to swipe inwards from the longer edge of the screen to exit the current screen. When this switch is off and your screen is in landscape mode, you need to swipe inwards from the shorter edge of the screen to exit the current screen. You can change the option according to your choice from Settings.

The update has also fixed the issue of emergency calls and phone calls where call dropped occasionally. You will receive a  prompt to download the update or you can manually download the update from the Update section in Settings.
