Oppo F9 & F9 Pro gets July 2020 update with new swipe-up gestures

Oppo has started rolling out a new stable update for Oppo Reno F9 & F9 Pro with new tweaks and improvements. The update comes with the latest July 2020 security patch with improved system update and more.

The update is rolling out with a build number CPH1823EX_11_F.11 or CPH1881EX_11_F.11 for the global variant for Oppo Reno F9 & F9 Pro on ColorOS 7 based on Android 10. The update started rolling out yesterday and will reach all users in a few upcoming days.

    • Added the July 2020 Android security patch to enhance system security.
    • Improved system stability.
    • Added the “Rotate the guide bars with the screen” switch for “Swipe-up gestures”. When this switch is on and your screen is in landscape mode, you need to swipe inwards from the longer edge of the screen to exit the current screen. When this switch is off and your screen is in landscape mode, you need to swipe inwards from the shorter edge of the screen to exit the current screen. (This switch is on by default. You can turn it off by going to “Settings – Convenience tools Navigation buttons – Swipe-up gestures”.)
The update has also added a switch for Swipe-up gestures in the landscape mode. When the switch is ON and the screen is in landscape mode, you need to swipe inwards from the longer edge of the screen to exit the current screen. When this switch is off and your screen is in landscape mode, you need to swipe inwards from the shorter edge of the screen to exit the current screen. You can change the option according to your choice from Settings.

The update has also enhanced system security and also improved user experience. You will receive a  prompt to download the update or you can manually download the update from the Update section in Settings.
